Founded in 2007, End Water Poverty (EWP) is a political and global campaign with over 150 civil society member organisations active in more than 90 countries. The aim of EWP is to end the sanitary crisis and inadequate drinking water supply in countries with inadequate water supply and sanitation through advocacy (on a global, regional and country level).
EWP's main aim is to convince the international donor community of the relevance of the problem and the need for more comprehensive, efficient and effective cooperation. To this end, EWP has drawn up a sectoral framework for international development cooperation.
The GTO and EWP
The German Toilet Organization (GTO) is one of three German member organizations. Thilo Panzerbieter, Executive Director of the GTO, was temporarily a member of the EWP Steering Committee.
